Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has announced that the airline’s first three class Boeing 777 has started its operations between London Heathrow and its home base in Abu Dhabi.
Etihad Airways has enhanced 13 per cent of seat capacity to its blue-ribbon route that operates from London Heathrow to the United Arab Emirates’ capital.
The Boeing 777 airliner will mainly operate its one of the flights from Heathrow to Abu Dhabi. The aircraft is equipped with eight first class suites, 40 business lie-flat beds and 282 seats in economy.
The airline has also broadcasted that it will add seven more Boeing 777s to its fleet of aircrafts in the next 18 months. The total number of passenger airliners then will rise to 18. Six of the aircrafts will be three-class.
Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan said, “Our privileged guests who are flying on the London-Abu Dhabi route and other 87 destinations on our network look forward to the best of experience.
Etihad Airways has already commenced its flight services six times a week from Abu Dhabi to Lagos, which is the capital of Nigeria.
