Air China, which is the flag carrier and one of the major airlines of China, has broadcasted that it will launch direct flights to Beijing.
Air China is scheduled to operate the round-trip from the Chinese capital to Houston on a state-of-the-art Boeing 777 with effect from 11th July, 2013. The news to add a new non-stop service between Houston and Beijing was welcomed by the mayor of the Texan city, Annise Parker, who stated, “Houston is highly honoured to be the newest global gateway for Air China as our international growth relies on firm relationships worldwide.”
She further commented, “This new non-stop service to China will make certain our success in growing the Texas regional economy and fortifying the global ties to our trade partners in China.”
The airlines will begin with four flights a week and the direct flight will take to the air from the Chinese capital at 15:00 and touchdown in Houston at 15:30 on the same day.
