Animals like sheep, goat and camel are sacrificed especially by those who have already performed the Hajj. It is largest and best known festival in Afghanistan, particularly in Mazar-E- Sharif where it is called Gul-E-Sorkh. During the celebrations sumptuous meals are prepared, Buzkashi matches are held. People play music and dance and farmers express their joy for the produce.
